We’re improving North Creake Play Area – we need your views.
Following completion of the playing field boundary fencing and the decision taken to remove the old Pavilion, the Council has decided to improve and complement the existing facilities available at the Play Area. This will need to be a phased project in order to secure the funding needed to pay for any new equipment.
PLAY AREA CONSULTATION
Outdoor Gym Equipment
The Parish Council has recently agreed to purchase six pieces of outdoor gym equipment for the playing field. The equipment will include:
Air Skier – for Balance & Coordination
Air Walker – for Cardiovascular
Combi Pull Down & Chest Press – for Upper Body Strength
Tai Chi Spinners – for Flexibility & Coordination
Elliptical Cross Trainer – for Cardiovascular
Arm and Pedal Bike – for Balance & Coordination
We are hoping that following funding applications to both the Jack’s Lane Community Benefit Fund and the Egmere Energy Community Fund as well as use of earmarked funds for the play area the equipment will be in place within the next six months.

Before we can start to apply for funding a decision is needed to be made on the next piece of equipment we purchase.

Play area equipment providers have visited the play area in order to provide some suggestions for additional equipment from children 4 years and up that would offer different play equipment options to those already available. A multi-play option has been recommended as these are suitable for both smaller and older children and offer a number of play features. It’s also something that we do not have on site already.
In total six designs have been put forward, three of which are timber and three are made from steel.
